With their double album "Dual," released this spring, Alexander Veljanov and Ernst Horn have raised the bar considerably higher. Despite all the sophisticated and lavishly decorated packaging, what resonates most is the musical realization of a highly ambitious project: the juxtaposition of ten selected cover songs on one album with ten original compositions, each created specifically for these tracks. Once this idea was put into practice, the charismatic duo produced such a wealth of material that they are now releasing another album, "Dual +," which partially continues the concept of "Dual," without limiting themselves to the strict pairing of cover songs and original songs.
With »Dual +«, Deine Lakaien now present another fine collection of idiosyncratic cover versions, accompanying or independent original compositions and a remix, which reveals the spectacular musical range of the duo in all its facets and once again takes the dedicated fan base on an extraordinary journey.
