Description
Nach der Veröffentlichung der beiden EPs »The Path« und »The Divide« sowie zahlreichen Konzerten in Europa (HRH Prog Festival in Wales, Summer Breeze Festival in Deutschland und einer Support-Tour für Amorphis in Finnland, um nur einige wenige zu nennen), befasst sich das Quartett auf seinem neuen Album nun verstärkt mit gesellschaftskritischen Themen.
Songs wie »Wheel«, der sich an George Orwells Roman »1984« orientiert und die Gesellschaft unter verstärkt aufdringlicher Überwachung betrachtet, sowie das Lied »Tyrant«, welches die Vorstellung einer Zukunft beschreibt, wo Selbstbestimmung extrem reguliert wird, zeichnen einen Rahmen um das übergeordnete Thema des Albums.
Sowohl musikalisch als auch thematisch betrachtet, hinterlässt »Moving Backwards« einen fesselnden und nachdenklich stimmenden Eindruck. Es ist eine weitreichende und mächtige Collage aus Progressive Rock, Grunge und Filmmusik, die sich dreht und wendet, wie es selten eine Band geschafft hat.

After the release of the two EPs »The Path« and »The Divide« as well as numerous concerts in Europe (HRH Prog Festival in Wales, Summer Breeze Festival in Germany and a support tour for Amorphis in Finland, to name just a few), the quartet is now increasingly dealing with socially critical topics on their new album. Songs such as "Wheel", which is based on George Orwell's novel "1984" and observes society under increasingly intrusive surveillance, as well as the song "Tyrant", which describes the idea of a future where self-determination is extremely regulated, draw a framework around the album's overarching theme. Both musically and thematically, »Moving Backwards« leaves a captivating and thought-provoking impression. It's a far-reaching and powerful collage of progressive rock, grunge and film music that twists and turns like rarely any band has managed.
